It was a night of triple celebrations when KLCC Urusharta Sdn Bhd (KLCCUH), KLCC Parking Management Sdn Bhd (KPM) and Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd (PjH) was bestowed the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Awards at the first ever Virtual RoSPA Award ceremony held on 3 September 2020. KLCCUH clinched the Gold Award while KPM and PjH were awarded the Silver Awards.
KLCCUH, KPM and PjH were recognised for demonstrating high health and safety standards and for their hard work in ensuring staff get home safely to their families at the end of every working day. According to RoSPA, the Gold Award winners achieved very high levels of performance, demonstrating well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risks and very low levels of error, harm and loss. Winners of the Silver Award meanwhile demonstrated high levels of performance underpinned by good management systems which deliver consistent improvement, working towards the level of excellence required for a Gold Award.
Upholding the spirit of Shared Success, KLCCUH’s winning also marked their concerted efforts in providing a systematic approach for HSE management system whilst ensuring compliance to the applicable laws within their business operations.
Meanwhile for KPM and PJH, this recognition highlights their commitment in prioritising the well-being of their stakeholders while implementing the highest standards of HSE management system in their business activities.
The wins are also testament to the Group’s top down HSE commitment and culture towards maintaining a successful and systematic management of HSE, contributing towards providing the highest standards of HSE management and constant improvement through leadership and action planning.
The prestigious awards ceremony was streamed live from the United Kingdom to Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur where about 80 staff from KLCC Group were in attendance.
Established in 1956, The RoSPA Health and Safety Awards offer organisations a prime opportunity to benchmark safety performance year on year and ensure consistent performance between sites. They also provide an effective route to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to raising health and safety standards. It is one of the most prestigious and recognised schemes in the world, with almost 3000 entries every year with a reach of over seven million employees.
